Which exam should I give JEE Mains in January or JEE Mains in April?

You should give JEE Main - January and April, both the exams. If you give both the exams, it will be considered as a single attempt only. Since the best of two format will be applicable, it’s no-brainer that everyone should give both exams in January and April.

Ideally strategy to give JEE Main January and April exam :

  1. Give the JEE Main January exam to test your preparation and exam temperament. Consider it as a practice test with full preparation. You may lack in solving enough full paper tests or revision but it’s worth giving the exam in January to understand the level of questions.
  2. If your result of the JEE Main January exam is not good as per expectation, then you need to improve, study and practice hard for the exam in April.
